Living Life As You
We live our lives based on other people's expectations from the moment we take our first breath. We learn to walk and talk through the encouragement we receive from caregivers. Outside the house, we learn based on a planned education process. And we learn based on our interaction with other kids and adults.
Throughout evolution, we learned based on our basic needs of survival - to fit in to the tribe. If our ancestors were ostracized from the tribe, it was certain death. That same instinctive tribe tendency has carried on in humans up to present and translates into maintaining connections with family and peers for survival, whether functional or dysfunctional.
While maintaining connection to the tribe was literally necessary to stay alive back then, now it's all too often something that can be harmful, and not just when it happens in times of abuse or neglect.
We live lives that aren’t our own. We don't take paths of our choosing. Instead we walk where we feel others expect us to go. And, in the other direction, we encourage others to go where we expect them to go rather than helping them find their true paths. In effect, living their lives for them.
Not every action has a negative intent, but the result often leads to limiting beliefs, gremlin messages, misguided interpretations, and unfounded assumptions. These results reside in your unconscious mind, hidden until events trigger unwanted responses like anxiety, fear, depression, and shame, and all those wonderful negative thoughts and feelings.
The good news: We can uncover, clear out, and reframe those unconscious messages through the techniques of NLP in Hypnosis™ and E.M.E.R.G.E™.
